History
In 1991 Bye Bye Blues begins its adventure: the restaurant was born from the great experience of Antonio Barraco, professional barman and sommelier, and from the passion for cookery of his wife Patrizia Di Benedetto who, due to her mum’s and grandma’s teaching, ‘refurbished’ her cookery roots by enriching them with studies and specialized courses in Italy and abroad.
The result is amazing: Bye Bye Blues soon becomes the true point of reference in Palermo for those refined palates and wine’s appraisers (because of its cellar which counts up to 350 italian and foreign labels from the most famos wine producers!).
Bye Bye Blues’ reputation grows up not only in Sicily but even all over Italy and North America. This way Patrizia succeeds in creating a new type of mediterrean cookery where the flavour of the great sicilian raw material triumphes toghether with touches of absolute modernity.
During Summer 2001 the restaurant is chosen to ‘accompany’ the exclusive summer season of the universally famous Teatro Massimo. In its evocative seasonal centre of ancient Teatro di Verdura a glamorous ‘restaurant en plein air’ is created, a leading place for cultural and fashionable nights in Palermo.
In October 2001 the restaurant comes back to Mondello to its traditional site fully refurbished and of great atmosphere.
